The Level 5 Diploma in Business Management is designed to increase the understanding of organisations, their management, the economy and the business environment. The course prepare the students to develop a career in business and management through a wide range of skills and attributes to become effective global citizens. This course provides an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of modern business management. Through case studies and real-world examples, students will develop the critical thinking and analytical skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive business environment.
You can study for a degree through a package consisting of the Level 5 Diploma coupled with a top up (i.e. final year) degree.

Entry Requirements
Students must have a reasonable expectation of success on the programme by assessing your previous qualifications and/or related work experience and required English language skills. In order to successfully study for an ABE qualification, you should have an appropriate level of English language
skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening). For the ABE Level 5 Diplomas, ABE recommends the following

Evaluate the applicability of contemporary management practices in both a specific and wider organisational setting. Assess the links between effective people management and organisational achievement and assess personal capability to manage agile organisations and people, and develop a justified personal development plan as a result.
Apply measurement techniques as an aid to business performance and discuss the sources, drivers and patterns of adoption of innovation in goods, services and ideas
Evaluate the risks and uncertainties that innovation creates for business performance.
Assess the objectives of financial management and the role of different stakeholders in the financial strategy of a business.
Evaluate financial risk using suitable techniques to apply approaches that reduce exposure to financial risks.
Evaluate investment opportunities to ensure that investment decisions reflect the needs of the business and its financial management strategy.
Analyse economic principles associated with international business. Evaluate markets from an international perspective also evaluate the significance of international trading blocks and organisations. Discuss the key aspects of international finance.
Analyse the role and importance of operations management.

Please note that the Timed Open-book exams and assignments are submitted electronically and are not restricted to any country.
There are six units and the total qualification time is 200 hours for each unit, which is the total time you are likely to spend studying including all your time spent on listening to the lectures, reading the online information, reading the workbooks, using the software, undertaking the exercises, discussions with other students and completing the assignments or revising for the exam. The qualification is taught online, so you can start at any time as you are not restricted by term times. You will receive your log in and password for the Teaching Zone as soon as we have received payment. All you need is Internet access!
